14/3/2023
Synergy Essex are delighted to have received three-year continuation funding of £1,220,483 over three years for the First Contact Navigator Project.
The Synergy Essex Partnership has demonstrated that there is demand for our specialist services with an overall increase in number of victims and survivors we supported in the last year 6,586 individuals, a 20% increase on the year before. The Essex wide ‘one number’ has directly received 24,922 calls and 59,340 calls directly to the three Essex centres. Survivor’s feedback has shown the need for the First Contact Navigators project is integral to their journey of receiving specialist support.
A spokeswoman for the project said “providing a triage service for survivors, family members and agencies has had an enormous impact on our community and how they can access holistic specialist sexual violence and sexual abuse support. We are delighted to receive this news and would like to thank the National Lottery players for this essential continuation funding expanding the project and the development of new prevention resources and online e-learning products for the ICENA training team.
